The Bible says that all professing Christians should be baptized (Matthew 28:18-20). Whether you've been following Jesus for a long time and never got baptized or are a new Christian, we would be honored to baptize you!
Sunday, March 1st
If you've already placed your faith in the Lord and would like to take that next step in your walk with Jesus and be baptized, then let us know!!
Once you sign up, Pastor Steve will reach out to you about baptism to talk through it with you.
Preparation:
Please come to church with either wearing clothes you don't mind getting wet in or a set of clothes you'd like to change into. We'd recommend shorts and a t-shirt, preferably something dark colored. Don't forget a towel as well!
Commonly Asked Questions:
What is baptism all about?
Baptism is a step that, as follower of Jesus, we are commanded to do in order to publicly declare our faith to others and identify with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection. Some people may do that immediately after accepting the Lord as their Savior, while some may wait until a time which they feel more comfortable with understanding what baptism is all about.

Do I need to be a Christian to be baptized?
Baptism is something that we are commanded in scripture to do to identify with Christs' death, burial, and resurrection. This is something undertaken by those who have already made a profession of faith in Jesus. Baptism is not for those who have not accepted Jesus as their Savior. If that is something you're interested in learning more about, then connect with Pastor Steve and he'd be happy to talk with you about it.

Do you baptize babies/children?
We are excited to baptize anyone who has made the decision to give their lives to Jesus and has accepted the gift of salvation and desires to publicly declare to others that decision. As such, we do not baptize babies, as some religions/denominations do, because at that young age, there has not been a conscious decision made by that child to accept Christ as their Savior. As far as children are concerned, as long as the child is able to understand and articulate their personal decision to give their lives to Christ, we are more than happy to baptize them.

Is baptism a part of salvation?
No, it is not. There is nothing special about the process of baptism other than it being an identification with the family of Christ. It is just water. Baptism is not an additional "step" to be taken to somehow complete salvation. Salvation occurs completely and fully at the point in which a person makes a conscious decision to accept the Lord Jesus as their Savior.

What if I've been baptized before? Can I do it again?
Baptism is all about letting others know that you are a follower of Jesus. Many times, people that have been baptized before have expressed that when they did so previously (perhaps at an early age or when they were still new to their faith), it might not have meant that much to them at the time, but now they are in a place where they truly understand the meaning behind it. If thats you, then we'd love to be a part of baptizing you again now that you're at a place in life where you fully understand what you're doing.

Does the Pastor have to baptize me or can someone else?
Baptism is such a special time of celebration in the life of a follower of Jesus and we want it to be memorable for you and everyone involved. Because there were most likely many people who were instrumental in your coming to Jesus or discipling you, we love when those people can play a part in your baptism. If there is someone special that you'd like to have baptize you then we'd love for them to be able to do that for you. Just let Pastor Steve know who that will be.

**If you have any other questions about baptism, feel free to contact the church or Pastor Steve directly.
