Go therefore and make disciples of all nations
Matthew 28:19
Here's how SCC is supporting missions!
Nsubuga Ibrahim, Uganda
Nsubuga started Kigoogwa Community Ministries at a young age out of a desire to see kids in his rural community in Mityana, Uganda given an education, provided shelter and food, and taught about the love of Jesus...and he began this effort with absolutely nothing. Over a short time, God immensely blessed his ministry by allowing him to partner with churches and individual supporters that saw the simplicity in his ministry. Since its start in 2021, God has grown his ministry to daily serve over 50 children in his community, gotten access to clean drinking water, and has become a licensed school.
Eastern Plains Women's Resource Center, Colorado
For over 25 years, the Eastern Plains Women's Resource Center (EPWRC) has been seeing women in communities along the I70 corridor and their families by providing support and education in a variety of areas including co-dependency, sexual trauma, abuse, boundaries in relationships, parenting, and life skills. Additionally, they also provide one-on-one support for individuals facing an unplanned pregnancy or other crisis.
The Marshall Family, Ukraine
Randy and Shelley Marshall serve with One Mission Society in Kyiv, Ukraine. Their main focus is disciple-making, and they use English to serve Ukrainians and to make new contacts. They organize English camps during the summer for university students and offer weekly English clubs at a Kyiv university. For students or adults of any age who become spiritually interested, they offer Discovery Bible Studies to help them investigate the claims of Jesus, and they gather those who want to follow him into worshiping home groups called Life Groups.
Caffine & Chrome
A monthly meet-up for people who like cars, motorcycles, and pretty much anything else that moves! SCC hosts this gathering every month from about April-October and it's a great opportunity for people to simply hang out, talk shop, and build relationships.
SCC is also the host of the annual Strasburg Hometown Days Car show, on the second Sunday of August, which brings in over 200 vehicles from around the area. You can find everything from vintage classics and hot rods to modern muscle at this family friendly event that features live music, food, kids games, and a whole lot of fun!
